These new video cards are not designed for gaming or graphic-intensive tasks. However, in the past, the company said that not every Xbox 360 game will be playable through the Xbox One Backward Compatibility feature. Instead during the roll out of the major update, Microsoft announced the first 104 games that are compatible with Xbox One and said that more games will be added periodically. Today, the company is delivering on the promise and announcing that 16 more Xbox 360 games had been added to the backward compatibility list, and now users can play a total of 120 games through the new feature....

While we have previously heard the news back in August, Microsoft is now officially revealing that Office 2016 for desktop is launching before the end of September. The new version of Office represents a major upgrade, but it’s actually a major upgrade with minor changes. Some of the new features include real-time editing with different people, new design themes, and various tweaks in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and the rest of the apps from the suite....

The new name also comes with a redesigned Office.com, which now became the main hub to access the web browser version of the Office suite apps, which also has been renamed to: “Word Online”, “Excel Online”, “PowerPoint Online”, and “OneNote Online” naming, instead of “Word Web App”, “OneNote Web App”, and so on. There are not new features in this update, just a few changes to simply improve the user experience and to get more customers to use the these apps online....

Initially, the company is only making available three extensions to test, including Microsoft Translator, a Reddit extension, and Mouse Gestures. While extensions will eventually be available through the Store, for now, Insiders will have to download and install each extension manually. For those unfamiliar, extensions are little programs that allow you personalize and add new features to the web browser, similar to what Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox have been offering for a long time....

The first feature is the sidebar search option, which is a new experience designed to allow you to search for web content without having to switch to another tab. The feature works by selecting and right clicking the word or phrase selection and choosing the “Search in sidebar for” option to see the result in the sidebar. According to the company, vertical tabs makes it easy to shift your tabs view to the side allowing you to easily see the titles and access controls, such as mute and close. In addition, it makes it easy to reorder your tabs. After the vertical tabs navigation becomes available on Microsoft Edge, you’ll notice a new button at the top-left corner of the browser. You can click the button to enable vertical tabs on the side....

“As contributors to the Chromium project, we look forward to the new 4-week major release cycle cadence that Google announced, to help deliver that innovation to our customers even faster,” the company explains. However, this new schedule will only be the default for consumers. Microsoft will offer an “Extended Stable” option to allow enterprises to receive updates every eight weeks instead of four. When selecting the “Extended Stable” option, enterprise customers will receive biweekly security updates with essential fixes, but “everything else will be delivered on the extended schedule every eight weeks....

Windows 10 support extension Initially, the software giant committed to provide 18 months support for each new version of Windows 10, and now, for the Enterprise and Education editions of the operating system the support will be extended for 30 months since their original release. This is how the search giant is letting you know that they have updated the spell checker dictionary and that your custom dictionary, now gets synced across devices when you’re signed-in to Chrome. This is in addition to the Chrome App Launcher that was unveiled not too long ago. Also the company added new support for grammar, homonym and context-sensitive spell checking in English for the “Ask Google for suggestions” feature....

According to Microsoft, the games look even better on your Xbox One with up to four times the pixel count on Xbox One or Xbox One S, and if you have an Xbox One X the pixel count can go even higher up to 16X. Using backwards compatibility, you’ll be able to play original Xbox games using a physical disc or purchasing and downloading games from the Microsoft Store.
