The feature is called “anti-theft protection,” and it has been designed to stop anyone from resetting the device to make it their own. When enabled, you must provide your credentials before you can erase the content to reset the device to the factory default settings. The exact date still unknown, for those of us who are excited to download and test the next version of Windows, we’re hoping for the release to happen during the event on September 30.
