To get a closer look to all the features and changes coming to Windows Phone 8.1, Microsoft recently published a new review video in YouTube highlighting everything that is new, from how to choose a photo to set up the Start background, going through how Cortana is a game changer as a digital assistant, to other features such as Data Sense to control your monthly data usage, and how to escalate a phone call to a Skype call....

Storage sense is a modern take of Disk Cleanup available in the Settings app, which allows Windows 10 to free up space automatically by deleting files you don’t need, such as temporary files and those files in the recycle bin. The new feature has been available in Windows 10 for several releases, and it was always meant to replace Disk Cleanup, but it’s not until the version 1809 that Microsoft completes porting and building features to make Storage sense a more complete experience....

On an effort to make Windows 10 (version 1709) more secure, Microsoft has published a set of standard requirements for a “highly secure Windows 10 device.” These new Microsoft’s standards are recommended for “general purpose desktops, laptops, tablets, 2-in-1’s, mobile workstations, and desktops,” and outlines the processor, process architecture, virtualization, secure boot, firmware requirements, and even the new minimum amount of memory to ensure a secure experience running Windows 10....

The reason for this is that Microsoft is once again changing the way the operating system receives updates. Instead of releasing a feature update every year, the company plans to make new versions of Windows available every three years. In between, there will be “moments” updates that will bring new features outside the major releases. As a result of these changes, it appears that the software giant may be planning to scratch out some of the features (such as tabs and redesigned navigation for File Explorer and Suggested actions) from the initial rollout of Windows 11 22H2 to then release them through the cumulative update (moment)....

Larry Page is taking the role of CEO and Sergey Brin is taking the role of president, while Eric Schmidt will become the executive chairman of Alphabet.
