Vostrostone (VSTN), a Chinese electronic wholesaler, published a listing for a Smart Cover Case that only fits the Surface Mini and even though the images show a tablet using the cover, the device shown isn’t the new Surface Mini, it’s actually a ThinkPad 8. Besides the availability date the VSTN posting doesn’t share much information. But we know that the smaller Surface tablet will presumably have a screen size of 8-inch and there has been rumors that the device will feature some sort of stylus (digitizing pen)....

However, every device has to evolve and improve, today new information coming from Yahoo, indicates that we may see the Surface Pro 4 this year. The new tablet is expected to have two models and both will run Windows 10. Although, there is no specific details about the tech specs, it seems that it will feature a detachable kickstand to help use the device as laptop as well as a tablet....

While such information is likely to be revealed as we get closer to Windows 10 RTM, the Microsoft Partner Network Blog hints how users will upgrade from Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. According to a report from The Verge, Microsoft’s Office 16 will include a new black theme. The new darker theme isn’t the default and users can always switch to the light gray, dark gray, or white theme as they like. Now I don’t know if Microsoft will keep building Surface gen-one or if it will just try to get rid of inventory. After tearing it apart, the guys from iFixit came to a conclusion that you shouldn’t try to fix it yourself by giving a repairability score of 1 out of 10. And here’s why: The display assembly has a fused glass panel and LCD, which is very difficult to remove and replace. The processor and memory are soldered to the motherboard — clearly they can’t be replaced. There are a lot of strong adhesive that holds many of the components in place, including the display, base core, and batteries....

As reported by Mary Jo Foley from ZDNet, the company is letting people to order the docking station, including the option for overnight shipping. While both are great devices with premium design and hardware, iFixit took them apart, and the teardown reveals they’re impossible to repair.
